Joey Ross, AJA 6th grader, believes that the 5th and 6th grade soccer team is going to be on their game this year in a big way.

“I think that our first few games will be a good way to see how we are going to do this season. I think we will do very well, but we just have to see,” Ross said. “I think we are ready for a show this year from our team,” he said.

“This year’s team will be made up mostly of 5th graders. The practices are going well,” Ross said.

Ross said the one disadvantage is that there is not a lot of depth in the lineup.

Despite the small number of players, Ross said he still believes in the ability of the team to win.

“It gives us a great opportunity to evaluate what people’s strengths are and what they want to play”, Ross said.

The next game is tonight at 4:15 p.m. against Hyde Park.
